U.S. Black Chambers, Inc. and Google Celebrate the Fifth Annual Black-Owned Friday with Star-Studded Campaign
The U.S. Black Chambers, Inc. (USBC) has partnered with Google for the fifth consecutive year to present Black-Owned Friday, a dynamic initiative aimed at driving support for Black-owned businesses. This year’s campaign features a vibrant short video starring comedian Druski, rapper GloRilla, and entrepreneur Jayda Cheaves, showcasing their unique energy while spotlighting the importance of championing Black-owned businesses.
The video delivers an inspiring message about the power of intentional shopping and highlights how consumers can use platforms like Google and The ByBlack Platform, a National Black Business Directory and Certification, to easily discover and support local Black entrepreneurs.
“Buying Black isn’t just a trend; it’s an essential part of building generational wealth and closing the racial wealth gap,” said Alicea Gay, Vice President of External Affairs and ByBlack Certification at USBC. “Resources like the ByBlack Platform make it easier than ever to find and support Black-owned businesses in your community. This partnership with Google allows us to amplify our mission and create lasting impact for Black entrepreneurs.”
The partnership between USBC and Google has been instrumental in supporting Black business owners since its inception. By leveraging Google’s technology and innovation, the collaboration has expanded opportunities and resources for Black entrepreneurs nationwide.
Alisa Joseph, USBC VP Director of Programs, added: “Our longstanding partnership with Google underscores their commitment to creating equitable opportunities for Black-owned businesses. Together, we are not only driving awareness but also providing the tools and resources necessary for Black entrepreneurs to thrive in today’s economy.”
